Mbeddo launches social media ‘buy now’ posts

‘buy now’ posts to allow ease of sales and purchases

There’s little ‘social’ about seeing a product and needing to leave the social media environment in order to buy it, something that Mbeddo is seeking to counter, offering a platform that delivers sales, via a ‘buy now’ Facebook post, immediately after capturing a potential customer’s interest.

social media keyboard buy nowWhile the e-commerce world is still taking in recent announcements that Facebook will be joining fellow social media outlets, including Twitter and Instagram, in launching ‘buy now’ posts, mbeddo.com has already pressed ahead. Mbeddo’s new social based sales platform, including a ‘buy now’ Facebook button, is already available for any online merchant to use.

When a retailer publishes a ‘buy now’ post using Mbeddo, it allows Facebook users to purchase that product without opening any new tabs or leaving the frame of Facebook, greatly reducing the risk that potential customers will get distracted and fail to complete a purchase. The platform does not require users to install, program or maintain anything and anyone with a Facebook page and a product to sell can use it.

The product is suitable not only for companies with a large Facebook following (that can sell their product directly to their existing fans and followers), but for anyone with a Facebook page, as ‘buy now’ posts can be promoted to a specific audience most likely to purchase a business’s specific product. For example a florist could promote their services to men aged 20-40 on February 14th, or a sports team could promote their products only to existing fans.

Sellers can use Mbeddo in a number of ways to increase their online sales performance. While the primary use is to monetise social media followers, by selling to them where they spend their browsing time, sellers also use Mbeddo to grow their social media following by posting exclusive items and discounts only on Facebook. This encourages social media users to follow a business’s page, knowing they might miss out on some opportunities otherwise. Other sellers use Mbeddo to rapidly sell old stock at discounted prices, by using Facebook’s own advertising system to promote their ‘buy now’ post to thousands of potential customers rapidly.

Unlike alternatives, Mbeddo publishers do not need to register for payment processing elsewhere, with all publishers receiving processing already inbuilt and FCA regulated. In other words, any product seller can register within five minutes, for free, and begin posting ‘buy now’ posts for their products.

Unlike many other online payment solutions providers, Mbeddo comes with payment processing included, meaning the commission payable is all inclusive with no further integration required. While subscription is required for premium models (a Silver subscription is $49 a month and a Gold is $149 a month), Mbeddo offers an unlimited free trial period in which sellers can opt to pay a higher commission but no fee upfront, meaning there’s never any payment without making a sale.
