Keeping fit in the gruelling world of business

It is no secret that fitting regular exercise into your daily routine can work wonders for both your personal and professional life. Not only will your general mood and health improve, so too will your focus and productivity.

Exercise is something all of us can do – remember, you don’t necessarily need to be forking out loads of money on swanky gym or sports club memberships to be active. A half hour run a couple of times a week will also go a long way to keeping you fit, and the best part is: it’s free!

However, when you’re running a business it can often be a challenge to find time to fit a regular workout into your daily schedule. Most of the time, you will find there is some task that needs to be done. That being said, giving yourself a window of time that is dedicated purely to exercise will more often than not pay huge dividends.

Some of the world’s most successful business men and women adhere to strict exercise programmes in a bid to increase their productivity, keep their minds sharp and their energy levels at a peak. Funding Circle have gathered together 36 of these individuals’ workout programmes to create the Exercising Entrepreneur infographic to show that if these industry powerhouses can find time to work out, then so too can you!

Executive chairman and former CEO of CISCO Wireless, John Chambers, goes for a run every day in a bid to keep himself healthy. His efforts mean he burns roughly 400 calories per day. Even more impressively, Mark Holowesko – founder and CEO of Holowesko Partners LTD – often cycles up to 80 miles per day, and also swims during his lunch break!

If you’re looking to help your business succeed, working regular exercise into your routine can go a long way towards helping this. Remember, if some of the world’s most successful business people can find time to exercise, so can you!
