Supermarket tax proposed to save small retailers

Local councils across the UK are considering a tax on supermarkets in an effort to recirculate funds into local businesses.

The tax, dubbed the “Tesco tax”, could raise up to £400m a year, though many believe it will simply drive up food costs.

Crowdcube smashes crowdfunding records

Exeter-based Crowdcube raised £1.2million in just 16 minutes, thanks to 141 investors pitching in £8,500 on average.

They plan to use the money to open new offices in London and Scotland.

First ever Mail Boxes Etc. franchisee celebrates 21 years

The very first person to join the Mail Boxes Etc. franchise network, Girvin Vincent, is celebrating 21 years of success.  He began in 1993 in Store Street, London, and despite numerous location changes, he remains a loyal Mail Boxes Etc. franchisee to this day.
